Multilingual Localizer
Adapts your text for one language and country, then gives you a back-translation, a change log, risk flags and a glossary so you can check it without reading the language.
When to use
- Marketing copy, landing pages, emails or product text going to a new language market.
- Support templates that have to sound natural and polite in the target culture.
- You have an existing translation and want to know whether it reads as native and still says the same thing.
When not to use
- Legally binding text (contracts, terms, regulatory labels, medical instructions). Use a qualified human translator; this skill can prepare a draft and an issue list for them.
- Brand terminology must follow a glossary you haven't shared yet. Get the glossary first.
Example
Input: German for Germany, marketing email, brand uses "du". Source: "Hey there! Grab 20% off everything this weekend. It's a no-brainer. Offer ends Sunday 11:59 PM."
Output (excerpt)
2. Localized version
Hallo! Dieses Wochenende sparst du 20 % auf das gesamte Sortiment. Das Angebot gilt bis Sonntag, 23:59 Uhr.
3. Back-translation (literal)
Hello! This weekend you save 20 % on the entire range. The offer is valid until Sunday, 23:59.
4. Change table
| Source | Literal would be | Localized as | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| "It's a no-brainer" | no natural equivalent | left out | the discount carries the message; a forced idiom reads as translated |
| "Grab 20% off" | "Schnapp dir 20 %" | "sparst du 20 %" | clearer for a broad audience, less slangy |
| "11:59 PM" | "11:59 PM" | "23:59 Uhr" | 24-hour clock; space before % is the German convention |
5. Flags
- "everything": confirm there are no excluded products; otherwise add the exclusions.
- Discount wording: check with someone who knows local advertising rules how a reduction must be presented.
