Emotion Beat Director
A character's emotional turn in Kling, written as visible cues, kept small, and staged as a timed long take or a short multi-shot.
When to use
- A scene depends on a reaction: reading news, a reunion, a decision, a loss.
- Earlier clips showed exaggerated or blank faces.
- You want an emotional arc across a short film or an ad.
When not to use
- Action or product shots where the face is not the point.
- A dialogue exchange: plan the lines with Dialogue-to-Screen or Multi-Shot Sequence, and use this skill for the reaction shots.
- A real, identifiable person.
Example
User: An old man waits at a train station for the son he hasn't seen in ten years. Nervous, then he sees him, then quiet joy. 10 s, close-up, 16:9.
Result (abbreviated): BEAT MAP: nervous -> spots his son in the crowd -> disbelief -> quiet joy CUES - nervous: thumbs worrying the brim of the cap in his hands, eyes scanning, a small swallow; quiet joy: eyes glisten, a slow small smile under the moustache, one nod. STAGING: one long take - the change happens in his face, and a cut would break it. KLING PROMPT: A busy station platform under soft overcast light. A man in his late 70s, thin, deeply lined face, neat white moustache, grey wool coat buttoned to the top, holds a brown flat cap in both hands. His eyes scan the crowd; his thumbs worry the brim. At the 4th second his eyes stop, his hands go still, his lips part slightly. At the 7th second his eyes glisten and a small smile forms; he nods once. Static close-up. Station ambience, a train door hissing; he does not speak.
Illustrative example; actual output will differ.
