Dialogue-to-Screen

A two-person conversation as Veo shots with native audio: lines sized to each clip, shot-reverse-shot coverage, steady voices and room tone.

Version 3Updated 15 Oct 2026

When to use

  • You have a short script with two characters talking.
  • Earlier attempts had characters changing between shots, looking the wrong way, or voices that did not match.
  • You want a conversation for a short film, an ad or an explainer.

When not to use

  • One short exchange in a single clip: the Veo Dialogue Scene prompt is faster.
  • Three or more people talking: break the scene into pairs, or plan it with Storyboard to Shots.
  • Long monologues: voiceover over b-roll works better.
  • Words that have to be exact for legal or medical reasons: record real voices.

Example

User: A: "You kept the letter all these years?" B: "I never found the courage to open it." Kitchen at night, Veo 3.1, 8 s clips, English.

Result (abbreviated): LOCKS A: "a woman in her 30s, slim, shoulder-length auburn hair, green knit cardigan over a white t-shirt, small silver hoop earrings" · voice: "soft, clear, slightly fast" B: "a man in his 60s, broad shoulders, short grey hair, grey flannel shirt, reading glasses on a cord" · voice: "low, slow, a little hoarse" ANCHORS: light "one warm pendant lamp above the table, dark windows" · room tone "fridge hum, light rain on the window" Shot 3 · reaction B · 6 s PROMPT: … He looks down at the sealed envelope and turns it once in his hands. He listens without speaking; no one speaks. Fridge hum, light rain on the window. No music, no subtitles.

Illustrative example; actual output will differ.
