Full-Stack App Blueprints
Plans a new Bolt build as a stack lock plus an ordered prompt sequence with a check after every step and a coherence audit every three prompts.
When to use
- You are starting a Bolt project with a database, login or more than one feature.
- A previous Bolt build ended with mixed patterns (Tailwind in one place and inline styles in another; database in one feature and browser storage in another).
- You want an ordered plan instead of one giant prompt.
When not to use
- A landing page or static prototype: one descriptive prompt is enough.
- Adding pages to an app whose stack is already settled: use
bolt-multi-page-scaffold. - You cannot yet say what the app does in two sentences: write a short spec first (the free
builder-spec-prompt).
Example
User: A team standup app. Members post a daily update; the team lead reads all updates for a day. React is fine.
Result (excerpt):
STACK LOCK
"React with Vite and TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Supabase Postgres, Supabase Auth with
magic links, hosting decided later. Use nothing else; ask me before adding any
library or service; keys live only in server environment variables."
ROLES AND OWNERSHIP: member reads and edits own updates; lead reads every update
in their team, edits none
B3 DATA LAYER: "Create teams, members (user_id, team_id, role member|lead) and
updates (member_id, date, yesterday, today, blockers). Members may insert and edit
only their own updates; a lead may read all updates of their team. Seed one team
with a lead and a member, one update each. Put every query in src/lib/data.ts (createUpdate,
getUpdatesForDay, getMyTeam); components import from there only."
Check: as the seeded member, try to edit the lead's update; it is refused.
DEFERRED: Slack reminders (needs a third-party integration), streaks (not needed
for the first week)
Illustrative example; your output will differ.
