Multi-Page App Scaffold
Sets up routing, access, state and layout for a 5 to 15 page Bolt app, then builds every page from one reference page.
When to use
- Your app needs several pages that share navigation, login state or data.
- You are growing a one-page Bolt prototype into a real app.
- Pages built at different times now handle loading, errors or data differently.
When not to use
- A single-page tool or a landing page.
- Choosing the whole stack from scratch: run
bolt-fullstack-blueprintsfirst (its stack lock), then this. - A one-off page in an app that is already consistent: one page prompt that names an existing page as the model is enough.
Example
User: Small CRM: login, contacts list, contact detail, deals board, settings, and a user admin page for admins only.
Result (excerpt):
ROUTES
/login · Login · public
/contacts · Contacts list · logged in
/contacts/:id · Contact detail · logged in
/deals · Deals board · logged in
/settings · Settings · logged in
/admin/users · User admin · role: admin
* · Not found · public
S2 STATE: "Keep only the signed-in user, their role and the active workspace in
global state. Each page holds its own lists and form values. All reads go through
hooks in src/hooks with one loading and error pattern. Keep the contacts search
text in the URL query."
Check: search contacts, refresh, and the same results are still shown.
1. Contacts list (reference): "Build /contacts. Job: find and open a contact.
Data: useContacts(). Parts: search box, table, New contact button. Show a skeleton
while loading, an error with Retry, an empty state with 'Add your first contact',
then the table."
SCAFFOLD CHECKS: paste /contacts/42 into a fresh tab; open /admin/users as a
normal user (expect the no-access page)
Illustrative example; your output will differ.
