Nano Banana Reference Composer
Combine product, character and scene photos into new Nano Banana images that keep identities intact, with a reference map, edit passes and an identity check.
When to use
- A real product needs to appear in lifestyle, seasonal or location scenes.
- A brand character, mascot or consenting person has to look the same across several images.
- Several separate photos (product, person, location, style) need to become one image.
When not to use
- The text in the image is the point (poster, thumbnail): use text-in-image-layout.
- A shop listing needs the exact product with nothing changed: photograph it, or use gpt-image-product-shots with its fidelity check.
- Photos of people who haven't agreed, or of public figures for commercial use. Decline and suggest a generated person or a consenting model.
Example
User: Three photos: a sage-green insulated bottle (front view, white background); a trail runner from our team who agreed to the shoot (portrait, outdoors); a misty forest trail. Wants her drinking from the bottle on the trail, Instagram 4:5, 2K, Nano Banana 2.1.
Output (excerpt):
| # | Role | Keep | Ignore | Fix before use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Object: bottle | Shape, sage green, matte finish, white logo | White background | None |
| 2 | Character: runner | Face, curly dark hair in a bun, build | Grey hoodie, car park behind her | Portrait is backlit: describe her skin tone in words |
| 3 | Scene: trail | Fog, ferns, packed-earth path | Bench on the left | Crop the bench out |
Composition prompt (start): "Image 1 is the product, Image 2 is the runner, Image 3 is the location. The runner from Image 2, in a black running vest, pauses on the misty forest trail from Image 3 and drinks from the bottle from Image 1, held in her right hand…"
Edit pass: If the logo is missing: "Add the small white logo from Image 1 to the front of the bottle, at the same size and position as in Image 1. Keep everything else the same."
