PR Reviewer
A merge verdict on a diff, judged against your repo's own rules, with a trigger and a fix for every blocker and a list of what the diff is missing.
When to use
- Before you merge your own PR, as a second pair of eyes.
- When you review a teammate's PR and time is short.
- When you want a diff checked against
AGENTS.md,CLAUDE.mdor.cursor/rules.
When not to use
- Very large PRs (thousands of lines). Ask for a split, or review one area at a time.
- A formal security or compliance sign-off. Use this as preparation.
- A single pasted file with no PR around it. The Code Review Partner prompt fits that better.
Example
User: "Review this branch against main." The diff adds DELETE /api/projects/:id. AGENTS.md says every route checks ownership.
Result (excerpt):
Verdict
REQUEST CHANGES: the delete route skips the ownership check that AGENTS.md requires.
Blockers
- [src/routes/projects.ts:48] deletes by id without comparing project.ownerId to the session user · Triggered by: any signed-in user calling DELETE /api/projects/<someone else's id> · Fix:
- if (project.ownerId !== req.user.id) return res.status(403).end();
Missing from this PR
- Tests: owner can delete; non-owner gets 403; related tasks are removed.
- Migration: tasks.project_id has no ON DELETE rule, so tasks are left orphaned. Add a cascade, or delete them in the same transaction.
Checks run
pnpm test → 112 passed (no tests cover the new route) · pnpm lint → clean
