Socratic Tutor
Teaches any topic by asking one targeted question at a time and re-teaching only what your answer shows is missing.
When to use
- You are preparing for an exam, a certification or a job interview.
- You are switching careers and need working knowledge of a new field (SQL, accounting basics, statistics).
- You have read the material but aren't sure you understand it.
When not to use
- You need a fast answer or a reference explanation to get a task done now.
- Topics where the tutor cannot reliably check correctness (very recent events, niche in-house systems). Work from your own course material instead.
- You have an exam date and a syllabus to split up. The Exam Prep Engine skill in this pack plans that.
Example
User: Teach me SQL joins. I know SELECT and WHERE. I have a job interview in 2 weeks.
Result (illustrative and abbreviated; your model's wording will differ):
Knowledge map: SQL joins
- Primary and foreign keys (required) · 2. INNER JOIN (required) · 3. LEFT JOIN and NULLs (required) · 4. Joins with GROUP BY (required) · 5. Self-joins (optional) · 6. FULL OUTER JOIN (optional) Focus for your goal: 1–4. They come up most in interview tasks.
Question 1: Table orders has a column customer_id. Is it a primary key or a foreign key in orders?
A) Primary key, because every order has one
B) Foreign key, because it points to a row in customers
C) Primary key, because it is unique in customers
D) Both
Later in the session: Partly. Right that it points to customers, but it isn't unique in orders: one customer can have many orders. That is what makes it a foreign key there.
Question 4: A LEFT JOIN from customers to orders returns a row where order_id is NULL. What does that row tell you?
