Meeting Decisions & Debrief
Turns one meeting or a full day of meetings into a decision register with quotes, owned commitments, conflicts, follow-up messages and the next agenda.
When to use
- After a meeting, to send a decision log and owned actions within the hour.
- After a day of calls (sales calls, a board day, a conference, a negotiation), to see every promise made by or to the user, sorted by date.
- When a team suspects its meetings end without real decisions and wants evidence.
- When the user needs to hold a vendor or partner to what they said on a call.
When not to use
- The user wants a friendly recap for people who missed the meeting. A narrative summary fits better.
- Formal minutes for a board, a regulator or a legal process. Those have their own format and approval.
- Recordings made without the participants' knowledge where that is not legal. Remind the user to check consent rules first.
- For a recurring team meeting with a standing project, the Meeting-to-Decision Digest prompt in this pack also tracks repeat topics week to week.
Example
User (illustrative): "40-minute product sync today, 5 people, about €60 an hour each. [transcript pasted]"
Result (excerpt)
| # | Decision | Status | Owner | Due | Reverse | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Dark mode ships in the next release | Made | Lena | no date said | Cheap | "Fine, dark mode goes in the next release." (14:22) |
| 2 | Drop the Android widget | By silence (interpretation) | UNOWNED | no date said | Costly | "Widget's probably not worth it…" (31:05), no objection |
Commitments: Marco: "I'll look into the crash reports" (22:40), Vague: no output, no date.
Avoided: "Two enterprise clients were told the widget is coming. Who tells them it isn't?"
Follow-up to Marco: "Could you share the top three crash causes by Thursday, so we can decide on the hotfix at the next sync?"
Cost: about €200; one real decision, while the widget question needed a 10-minute call with its owner.
Illustrative example written by Meevra to show the format; actual output will differ.
